Last updated: November 2026. Hygge, provided by Get BOB, Inc., is an app that finds gig work for you and manages it with your approval. This page explains, in plain language, what Hygge collects and why.

Who we are

Get BOB, Inc., a Delaware corporation with registered address 1710 Keller Parkway, Suite #4358, Keller, TX 76248, United States, is the company behind Hygge and is responsible for your personal data under this policy (the data controller). You can contact Get BOB, Inc. about your data at support@usehygge.app.

What Hygge collects

Your data comes from you and from the job sites you connect. Calendar, location, photo, and notification access are optional; declining them limits only the related feature, as described above.

Why we process your data

How AI is used

Hygge uses Meta's AI models, reached through Cloudflare's AI Gateway, to understand your requests, draft applications and messages, summarise mail, and suggest job sites. When you use those features, the relevant context — your preferences, your chat with Hygge, mail summaries, and job details — is sent to Meta through Cloudflare. Using Hygge's chat and AI features means you agree to this sharing. Your stored job-site passwords stay in the encrypted vault and are not sent to the AI models. Hygge does not train AI models on your data, and does not allow other companies to train AI models on it either. Hygge tries to keep personal data out of AI prompts, and keeps Meta's data-retention terms under review.

Who else handles your data

Everyone who handles your data for Hygge is required to protect it at least as well as this policy does.

Where your data goes

Get BOB, Inc. is based in the United States, and Cloudflare and Meta process data in the United States. Transfers of personal data from the EU to the United States are protected by Cloudflare's and Meta's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

What Hygge does not do

Retention and deletion

Your data stays in your account while your account is active. Removing a job site from Hygge deletes its stored sign-in from our servers, it does not remove your data from the job site.

You can delete your account from inside the app (Profile > Delete account). You can also ask us by email at support@usehygge.app. Either way, your data is deleted no later than 30 days after your account closes.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you your data, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, give it to you in a portable form, or stop using it for a purpose based on our legitimate interests. If processing is based on your permission, you can withdraw that permission at any time. Email support@usehygge.app and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example Datatilsynet in Denmark.

For users in the United States, the same rights apply under state privacy laws, including the rights to know, delete, and correct your data. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We limit sensitive information, like your sign-ins and precise location, to what the service needs.

Decisions about you

Hygge suggests work and drafts messages, but nothing is booked or sent without your approval. No decision with legal or similarly significant effect is made about you by AI alone.

Children

Hygge is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
